New Sender Review | Shield by Mailprotector
The New Sender Review feature in Mailprotector's Shield app empowers users to control their inbox by allowing them to quickly "Trust" or "Silence" new email senders via an interactive banner, with the system learning from these decisions and user email client actions to improve future filtering.
Trust the people you want to hear from and silence the rest
New Sender Review puts you in control of who reaches your inbox. Click the new sender banner to open the Shield app and make the call. “Trust” fast-tracks future emails to the inbox. “Silence” keeps them out for good. Shield learns from every decision and gets smarter over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to use the Shield app to make trust/silence decisions?
No. Shield learns from how you handle messages in your email client too. Move a new sender from junk to inbox and they're trusted. Permanently delete it from junk and they're silenced for good.
If you are a current Shield partner, you can find a full list of mailbox interactions here. If you're a prospective partner, schedule a demo to learn more.
Does Shield need time to learn, or does it work on day one?
Both. Shield starts by scanning your existing contacts and communication history to build an initial trust network automatically. The New Sender Review feature fills in the gaps. Every trust/silence action creates a more personalized experience over time.
How do I know if a new sender is safe?
Every email in Shield includes a Heads-Up Display (HUD) — a visual security summary that uses color signals to show you the risk level of any message. By the time you see a new sender banner, the necessary security scans have been completed, so you have the context needed to confidently move forward.
